Mugavero, IV range at full crunch

The production of leafy vegetables for the IV range now embraces all months of the year due to the continuous demand from the large-scale retail trade for this type of product. The summer months certainly represent a critical phase for these crops, the high temperatures in fact lead to rapid growth which implies a low accumulation of dry matter and a poor translocation of little mobile elements such as calcium. The most evident effects of these factors are represented by the well-known “tip-burn” and a limited shelf-life.

Mugavero offers a line of highly technological products to address these problems.

Tonical on leafy vegetables

Tonical, is an innovative biostimulant allowed in organic farming that contains complexed calcium with Ecklonia maxima. On the one hand, ecklonia maxima helps the plant to better withstand high temperatures, on the other, it acts as a carrier by significantly increasing the accumulation of calcium in the leaves. The product can be applied by foliar and/or root; by roots, it has a strong rooting action due to the favorable relationship between completely natural auxins and cytokinins and the presence of calcium, responsible for the elongation of the roots.

Statia on leafy vegetables

When mixed with Tonical, in order to accumulate dry substance and obtain a more crunchy product, Mugavero technicians recommend Statia. It is a zero residue resistance inducer that contains phosphorus and potassium complexed with an organic component which on the one hand modulates its action and absorption, on the other acts as a precursor of enzymes and plant growth regulators. Already after the first application of the product, there is a greater strength of the leaf and containment of the vegetation. Another feature of the product is the presence of a healing agent, thus applying the product facilitates the healing of wounds that may be caused by mowing, biotic or abiotic agents.
