ACIDAM is a liquid nitrogenous fertilizer with acidic reaction, containing a high percentage of sulfur trioxide (SO3).
The nitrogen is present both in ureic and ammoniacal forms formulated with sulfuric acid; this reduces the nitrogen leaching and makes it more available for roots.
The acid reaction of the solution eases the demobilization of Phosphorus (P) and of Iron (Fe) blocked in the soil colloids, reducing the iron chlorosis.
Moreover it breaks up chlorides and carbonates present in the soil and in the drip irrigation system.
total NITROGEN (N) 15%
total SULPHUR TRIOXIDE (SO3) 40%
AS WATER pH REDUCER
The right dosage depends on the bicarbonate content in water ,according to the table here below which shows the amount of ACIDAM necessary to neutralize 90% of bicarbonate in 1 m3 of water of irrigation.
BICARBONATE CONTENT IN WATER (mg/L) ACIDAM (L/m3)
ACIDAM is also effective against the soil crust and improves the efficiency of the low volume irrigation system; it also improves the water penetration in the soil. For every single application, always use a minimum dose of ACIDAM of 1,2 – 1,5 l/ha. The final pH of the mixture water+fertilizer should be between 5,5 – 6 measured at drip.
AS ANTI ENCRUSTATION AGENT IN THE DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
In the case of encrustation of bicarbonate or seaweed in the pipes or drips use ACIDAM at the total dose of 20 – 25 l/ha. If the encrustation is not present the dose should be 1,2 – 1,5 l/ha of ACIDAM
